Low self-confidence is having a lack of belief in one's own abilities, worth, or value. It involves feeling insecure, doubting oneself, and having a negative self-perception. Low self-confidence can impact various aspects of life, including relationships, work, and overall well-being. Building self-confidence involves challenging negative thoughts, focusing on strengths, setting realistic goals, and practicing self-compassion and self-care. It's important to remember that self-confidence can be developed and improved over time with effort and self-reflection. Having faith in one’s ability builds confidence and it takes time, it won’t occur overnight.
Low self confidence can come from setting goals too high or at least having expectations severly high and then being let down. How we perceive ourselves is everything but it is so powerful because when we don't reflect on ourselves properly it could bring our confidence down. Failing at something you thought would actually pan out for you is what sets people back in the confidence department. The fear of not succeeding and the chance of not leveling up.
I also feel like it is important to note that the environment in which we grew up in or are currently in can teach us to obtain low self-confidence. If someone has a plethora of nuclear memories that identify themselves as being not worthy of love, attention, connections, etc. that person's new filter of the world is constantly being processed through that understanding; it becomes their paradigm.
