Yes, I believe laziness is when you are not doing anything "productive" at all in your life, whatever that may be. Laziness is doing nothing at all or in other words being content, not motivated. However, burnout is from doing more than is required and eventually malfunctioning to the point of not being efficient in activity. Burnout is over exerting yourself too much and not being rested from what I can understand.

Having set some goals that you want to achieve within your life time is something that has always helped me stay motivated and allowed me not to be lazy to a certain extent, so having something that you are tryign to achieve will help you stay motivated and keep going and not be lazy.
But also i think that the laziness comes with other states than just being lazy, it may also be something else that is causing you to be lazy such as depression, you have no motivation or want to do anything, and you just thtink that your lfie is over. I would seek professional help to help yourself get out of that mindset.
